It has survived the winter and bloom again - my purple beauty in the pot - a charming Pulsatilla! And now in the 3rd Year!
Pulsatilla got its botanical name from the Latin. Pulsars means "beat", which points to the large, bell-like flowers. German to know them perhaps better known as Pasque. Here, the name has nothing to do with the kitchen. It comes rather from cooling-chen-clamp, sometimes called the Pasque flower.
The Pulsatilla is an Easter flower, which heralds the return of Vegatationsgeister. In Homeopathy Pulsatilla is an important means for women.
